Konstantinos Chrysafinos is an Associate Professor at the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences of NTUA.
Konstantinos Chrysafinos received his Ph. D degree in Applied Mathematics from Iowa State University under the supervision of Max D. Gunzburger and Lisheng (Steven) Hou.
Before moving to NTUA as an Assistant Professor, he held post-doctoral positions at Carnegie Mellon University and at the University of Bonn.
K.C. works in the area of numerical analysis of partial differential equations and optimal control.
The main focus of his research concerns numerical analysis of nonlinear parabolic PDEs sush as Navier–Stokes equations, Allen–Cahn problem, Reaction-Diffusion Systems, and analysis and numerical analysis of related PDE constrained optimization problems.
